Let me introduce you…

The last thing I ever would of thought many years ago when I was in the United States Navy, or working as a law enforcement office is that one day I’d be involved in ministry, much less a ministry that has my name on it.  I think that was one of the most humbling moments in my life, as those who are close to me can affirm, the moment I realized the ministry I would lead would be known as Greg Lancaster Ministries.  The reason for this ambivalence was that it is strictly by the grace of God that I walk with Him today and it by that same grace and His new mercies every morning that I am able to minister in His name. You see, my passion is ministering to those who walked in the same life’s journey that I took, or am presently in myself.  It was a special day when my life forever changed the moment I gave my life to my Lord and Friend Jesus Christ.  I was driving down the road early one morning around 3:00AM to 4:00AM on patrol as a law enforcement officer in Pensacola, Florida.  All of a sudden it was like God called my name.  I didn’t hear a voice, but all of a sudden I was compelled to want to listen to Christian music on the radio.  You have to understand I was more into listening to Marvin Gaye when this compulsion came over me to listen to Christian radio.  I was so lost; I had to call the dispatcher by phone because I didn’t even know where to locate a Christian radio station.  Sad to say, I remember finding out that this certain Christian radio station didn’t come on until 6:00AM in the morning and it was too early.  I pulled over into a church dirt parking lot and was going to wait until 6:00 AM.  While waiting I looked at their church sign and saw “Dinner Thursday night.”Yes, being single and hungry for a prepared meal and now hungry for the Lord I showed up.  It was at this I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ.  He took a life of waste, narcissism, doubt, aimlessness and gave me a new life.  The Lord forgave all my sins made me new.  If you have yet to find Him, you don’t know what I’m talking about.   But imagine, starting new.  Imagine all your mistakes and failures behind you and all you see is hope and a future.  Imagine your Lord and Friend telling you that there is not only forgiveness, grace and mercy for your past, but even for your future.  That is what the Lord did for me.  It has been since that very moment I can’t do enough for my Friend, Jesus, Who did so much for me.  I have been serving Him ever since.
